Jordan Guerrero allowed one run on two hits with a pair of strikeouts over two innings of work in the White Sox’ loss to the Athletics in Cactus League action on Saturday.
Guerrero, a 15th round selection back in 2012, drew the start for the White Sox split-squad contest and didn’t look overmatched against a solid A’s lineup. The 24-year-old southpaw recorded a pedestrian 4.75 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 120:47 K/BB ratio in 25 starts (26 appearances) across two levels in the upper minors last season. He will likely open the year at Triple-A, but will be a potential mid-season call-up for the rebuilding White Sox.
