Davis, 26, was arrested and jailed Tuesday in Polk County, Fla., for failing to appear at a June 9 hearing for a misdemeanor domestic battery charge involving his wife. Director of player development Tim Naehring said, ''As soon as he reports back to us with any further information, I’ll relay it on.’' Davis is 6-9 with a 4.73 ERA in 22 games with Louisville.

Davis allowed nine runs and 15 hits in 6 1/3 innings this spring.

The Reds will probably call on Davis at some point, using him as a fifth starter or a middle reliever. It’s unlikely that he’ll have any fantasy value.

Davis was jailed last week after failing to appear for a court hearing on a domestic violence charge. ''He said (not appearing) was miscommunication,’' assistant GM Brad Kullman said. ''He got that worked out. This is not new. He’s been dealing with this awhile. We’ll let it play out in the courts.’'
