Guardians signed INF Michael Turconi to a minor league contract.
The Guardians needed some extra minor league infield depth in light of their injuries. Turconi, a 15th-round pick out of Wake Forest in 2022, was let go by the Blue Jays earlier his season after opening up 3-for-23 in Triple-A. He’s a career .248/.365/.360 hitter in 247 minor league games.
