Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper remained out of the lineup on Friday due to a right hamstring issue. As CSN Washington’s Mark Zuckerman reports, Harper underwent an MRI which was “pretty good. Manager Matt Williams described his hamstring as “better, but still a little tight.”
Harper suffered the injury after doubling in the 11th inning of Wednesday’s 2-1 win against the Braves. He sat out Thursday, but it sounds like he’ll be able to return to the Nationals’ lineup before the weekend closes.
Harper, 22, has been baseball’s best hitter through the first three months, carrying a .340/.466/.719 triple-slash line with 24 home runs and 58 RBI in 292 plate appearances.
