Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun reports that the Indians have signed outfielder Felix Pie to a minor league contract worth potentially $1 million.

The deal also comes with an invitation to spring training, where Pie will attempt to land a spot on Cleveland’s 25-man roster. If he’s unable to pull that off, he can request his release on Opening Day.

Pie, 26, batted .220/.264/.280 with zero home runs and only nine total extra-base hits in 175 plate appearances this past year for the Orioles. He was also caught on two of five stolen base attempts.
