Pirates outright Travis Snider, among others

According to MLB.com’s transactions page, the Pirates have outrighted outfielder Travis Snider, 1B/OF Travis Ishikawa, and pitcher Deolis Guerra. Snider and Ishikawa elected free agency while Guerra has been assigned to Triple-A Indianapolis.

Snider, who turns 28 in February, took only 29 trips to the plate with the Pirates after they picked him up following his release from the Orioles. He hit three doubles and a home run while knocking in eight runs.

Ishikawa, 32, posted a .646 OPS with three doubles, a home run, and eight RBI as well, but he did so in 66 plate appearances.

Guerra, 26, allowed 12 runs on 26 hits and three walks with 17 strikeouts across 16 2/3 innings.
