No one was elected to the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown last month. But at least the Canadians appreciate a good baseball player when they see one:
The former Montreal Expos outfielder was selected for induction Thursday into the Canadian Baseball of Fame. Also included in the class of 2013 are former outfielders George Bell and Rob Ducey as well as former announcer Tom Cheek and longtime minor league owner Nat Bailey.
Raines is an obvious choice for any Hall of Fame. As for Bell: he once again gets an honor that Alan Trammell is being unfairly denied. Sigh.
