As if Mets fans weren’t worried and panicked enough due to the team’s injuries and offensive problems of late: Yoenis Cespedes was lifted from this afternoon’s game against the Royals with an apparent injury.

Cespedes grimaced a bit on one of his swings, but took a walk. He left the game after reaching first base and was replaced by Alejandro De Aza. No word in what the problem was, but they’ll update soon. And then we will too.
