Cardinals acquired C Sammy Hernandez from the Blue Jays for LHP Genésis Cabrera.
Hernandez, 19, holds a .200/.273/.339 over 49 minor league games and was moved back down to rookie ball this year after struggling in Single-A. The Cardinals are probably just happy to get something back for a player they were cutting loose.
