Padres signed OF Wyatt Ulrich to a minor league contract.
The 25-year-old outfielder was playing in his second season with the Sioux Falls Canaries in the independent American Association where he caught the eye of the Padres. In 53 games there his year, he was slashing .347/.404/.474 with three homers, 23 RBI, 10 stolen bases and a 37/17 K/BB ratio. He’ll add minor league outfield depth for the Padres.
