Arvydas Macijauskas missed tonight’s game with a hip flexor.
He’s day-to-day and could have some nice sleeper value this season.
  • NOP Shooting Guard
Arvydas Macijauskas played two minutes for the Hornets tonight.
He missed the last game with a hip injury, and it may still be bothering him. He is worth keeping an eye on as he may be worth owning at some point during the season.

The Hornets placed Arvydas Macijauskas (ankle) on the inactive list.
Kirk Snyder dressed for the first time in his place. “Arvydas hurt his ankle a little the other day,” Hornets coach Byron Scott said, “and he told me he didn’t think he’d be able to play. But he was at practice (on Friday). I had already made up my mind to bring Kirk off (the inactive list).”

Arvydas Macijauskas was activated from the IL on Wednesday November 16.
Macijauskas played just 34 seconds in the contest and didn’t have a stat line.

The Hornets signed shooting guard Arvydas Macijauskas to a contract.
The Lituanian Olympian scored 24 points against the U.S. in Athens (a rare U.S. win) in the Bronze medal game. He should fight for a starting job with New Orleans, but could end up being the sixth man as well. He is a great shooter and will probably be worth a later round pick in fantasy leagues.

Arvydas Macijauskas had eight points and three rebounds off the Hornets bench tonight.
Macijauskas logged 27 minutes in the contest - he had played just 30 minutes in previous 24 Hornets games, including 19 DNPs. With Chris Paul sidelined, he could be in store for more minutes but isn’t worth fantasy consideration quite yet.

Arvydas Macijauskas missed practice yesterday with the flu.
He’s travelling with the team to Memphis but it’s unknown if he’ll play.

The Hornets are reportedly in buyout negotiations with shooting guard Arvydas Macijauskas’ agent, which would allow him to play in Europe, a league source said.
The Hornets have been shopping Macijauskas in a potential trade deal but have’t generated any interest. Macijauskas, whom the Hornets signed as a free agent last summer, played in 19 games and averaged 2.3 points last season. Coach Byron Scott said Macijauskas struggled to learn the playbook and the chances of him returning to the Hornets are about zero.

The Hornets waived guard Arvydas Macijauskas on Wednesday.
“Arvydas’ role last season was not what either he or the organization envisioned when we signed him as a free agent, and both parties agreed that this was a mutually beneficial decision,” Hornets general manager Jeff Bower said. Macijauskas will likely pursue a career in Europe at this point.

GM Jeff Bower is trying to finalize a buyout with guard Aryvdas Macijauskas, who has one year remaining on his contract at $2.5 million.
Macijauskas signed a two-year deal last summer. If an agreement is reached, Macijauskas will return to Europe to play.
