The Lakers gave up the draft rights to Ater Majok in the Jose Calderon deal.
He was the 58th pick in 2011. Majok is unlikely to make it into the NBA.

The Pelicans also received the draft rights to Ater Majok in the Quincy Pondexter deal.
He was the 58th pick in the 2011 draft and also saw his draft rights get traded away in the Jose Calderon deal for the Lakers in 2016.

The Pelicans have renounced the draft rights to Ater Majok.
The Pels acquired the draft rights to Majok in the Quincy Pondexter deal with the Bulls last month. Majok was a second-round pick back in 2011 and played in Lebanon last season.

Ater Majok, the 58th pick in the 2011 draft, will be flown in from China to workout for the Lakers on Wednesday.
Talk about a desperation move, Majok likely won’t impress the Laker’s coaching staff enough to warrant a contract, and even if he does, he won’t have any fantasy value in almost any league. He played for the Lakers’ NBA summer league team in 2012, averaging 1.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks. Ignore him on the waiver wire.

The Lakers took Sudanese PF Ater Majok with the 58th pick in the draft.
This is another guy the Lakers have no intention of bringing over, as they’ll have a full roster to start the season. He will not be in training camp for the Lakers this season.
