Jordan Nwora racked up 14 points, 11 rebounds, an assist and two three-pointers across 21 minutes in Sunday’s 118-103 loss to Miami.
Nwora came away with his second double-double of the season as he ended his fourth NBA season on a high note. He played a minimal role across 52 appearances for the Pacers and Raptors, though he saw an increase in playing time down the stretch for an injury-riddled Toronto squad. Nwora is an unrestricted free agent this summer, but no matter where he signs, it’s highly unlikely he will become a relevant fantasy option.
  • TOR Shooting Guard #1
Gradey Dick (groin contusion) is active for Wednesday’s Raptors-Nets game.
Gradey is back in the mix after a one-game layoff. He should get an extended run with Bruce Brown (knee) and Gary Trent Jr. (back out). Jordan Nwora (4% rostered in Yahoo leagues) should also see a boost in production on Wednesday.
  • TOR Shooting Guard #33
Gary Trent Jr. (back spams) and Bruce Brown (right knee inflammation) have been ruled out for Wednesday’s game against the Nets.
Both wings have been ruled out after initially being listed as questionable to play in this game. Their absences will open up minutes for both Jordan Nwora and Gradey Dick, with one of them likely moving into the starting unit to replace GTJ.
  • TOR Small Forward #9
RJ Barrett and Kelly Olynyk will miss Wednesday’s matchup with Brooklyn due to rest, and Immanuel Quickley (rest) will return following Tuesday’s absence.
Barrett and Olynyk will miss the second half of Toronto’s back-to-back, while Gradey Dick (groin), Gary Trent Jr. (back) and Bruce Brown (knee) will all get questionable tags. Quickley should enjoy a monster workload, while Javon Freeman-Liberty, Malik Williams and Jordan Nwora should be in line for expanded roles.
  • TOR Small Forward #11
Gary Trent Jr. (illness) and Bruce Brown (right knee soreness) are questionable to play against the Wizards on Sunday.
Trent Jr. suited up in their last game and dropped 31 to lead the Raptors to an upset win over the Bucks. If he ends up missing this game, Brown or Gradey Dick will likely fill his spot in the starting unit. Brown has missed the team’s last two games, and he should start if he returnsfor this game. If Trent Jr. plays, Ochai Agbaji will likely be pushed to the bench.
  • TOR Small Forward #11
Bruce Brown (right knee soreness) has been ruled out for Friday’s game against the Bucks.
Brown will miss a second consecutive game, which frees up additional minutes for Jordan Nwora. Nwora is a risky play in deep leagues as he’ll come off the bench, and the returns of Gary Trent Jr. and Ochai Agbaji limit his upside.
  • TOR Small Forward #30
Gary Trent Jr. (back spasms), Bruce Brown (right knee soreness) and Ochai Agbaji (right hip contusion) are questionable to play against the Bucks on Friday.
All three players missed their last game, which forced the Raptors to start Jalen McDaniels and Garrett Temple at the forward spots. RJ Barrett will be back, so he will be one of the starting forwards for Friday’s game. The other will be dependent on how many of these three players are available to suit up.
  • TOR Power Forward #2
Jalen McDaniels played 37 minutes in Wednesday’s loss to the Timberwolves, scoring 13 points (6-of-15 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs) with eight rebounds and four assists.
McDaniels made his first start on Wednesday, with the 37 minutes being a season-high. This was only the second time he’s surpassed 20 minutes in a game. McDaniels didn’t shoot the ball well playing against his brother Jaden, but the rebounds and assists were solid. Under normal circumstances, Jalen would not be considered a must-add in any fantasy leagues. However, given how shorthanded the Raptors have been recently (only eight players were available on Wednesday), he’ll be worth a look if that remains the case. The same can be said for Jordan Nwora, who played 29 minutes off the bench and finished with 14 points, 13 rebounds, five assists, and one 3-pointer.
  • TOR Small Forward #11
Bruce Brown (right knee soreness) has been ruled out for Wednesday’s matchup with the Timberwolves.
Brown has officially been ruled out after initially being listed as doubtful. His absence will allow for Jordan Nwora and Garrett Temple to take on larger roles, with one of them getting the starting nod.
  • TOR Small Forward #11
Bruce Brown (right knee soreness) is listed as doubtful for Wednesday’s game against Minnesota.
Brown exited early from their game on Tuesday and will likely remain out for Wednesday’s game. Jordan Nwora and Garrett Temple both played large reserve roles on the wing in their last game, so one of them will likely fill Brown’s spot in the starting unit, with the other still playing big minutes.
