    Hornets signed guard Junior Harrington.
Harrington, a point guard, was out of the league last season after averaging 5.1 points and 3.0 rebounds with the Nuggets in 2002-03. He might make the Hornets as a reserve.

Junior Harrington did not start last night because of a sore knee he sustained Tuesday.
Dan Dickau made his first start in Harrington’s place, but it should all be moot now that Baron Davis is back.

The Grizzlies announced on Tuesday that they’ve signed a one-year contract with free agent guard Junior Harrington.
Terms of the deal were not released. The 6-4, 190 pound guard averaged 10.0 points, 3.3 assists and 1.9 rebounds in seven summer-league games. He played in Spain last season, averaging 13.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 2.3 steals per game. He’ll fill a backup role at both guard positions, but isn’t likely to have much fantasy value in a suddenly crowded Memphis backcourt.

Junior Harrington had four points, four rebounds and one assist in an embarrassing loss for the Hornets at the hands of the Spurs tonight.
Not so fast if you were thinking Harrington was your answer at point guard. He hit just 2-of-12 shots tonight and may not be ready to lead a team at point guard.

Junior Harrington had a career-high 22 points, two rebounds, seven assists and a steal, but failed to lead his team to a win over the expansion Charlotte Bobcats.
That’s 11-straight losses for the Hornets, one shy of tying the team record. Harrington hit 9-of-13 shots, including both three-point attempts and could have some value with Baron Davis out of the lineup and Darrell Armstrong playing for Dallas.

Hornets activated guard Junior Harrington from the injured list.
Harrington will act as the Hornets’ No. 3 point guard.

Junior Harrington had two points on 1-of-12 shooting tonight in his first start for the Hornets.
Maybe he was just a little nervous. Harrington should remain in the starting lineup for the moment.

Junior Harrington was pulled from the starting lineup tonight and played just eight minutes off the bench.
Harrington scored two points in two games after replacing Darrell Armstrong as the Hornets’ starting point guard. It was Alex Garcia who took his spot in the starting lineup tonight, but Garcia struggled in 21 minutes and Dan Dickau looked like the Hornets’ best point guard.

The trade of Darrell Armstrong to the Mavericks was done primarily for the benefit of Junior Harrington.
GM Allan Bristow felt Harrington had been progressing so rapidly in the past two weeks that he had to find a way to assure him more playing time. Harrington, 24, is expected to start, with Alex Garcia, 24, coming off the bench. Dan Dickau will be the third guard and will have to work his way into the rotation. Once Baron Davis returns, everyone gets bumped down a notch.
