Mike Dunleavy Sr. has emerged as a head coach candidate for the Lakers, and he met with GM Mitch Kupchak on Wednesday’s morning to discuss the position.
The Knicks were also rumored to have some interest in Dunleavy Sr., who has 17 years of experience as an NBA coach, but it’s uncertain whether the two sides even met. L.A. is expected to “seriously start searching for a new coach” now that Tuesday’s draft lottery is out of the way, having netted them the No. 7 pick.
