Forward Mike Hall signed the Wizards’ qualifying offer but does not have a guaranteed contract.
That means he’ll have to make the team during training camp.
  • WAS Power Forward
The Wizards waived forward Mike Hall on Monday.
He was dealing with a sprained right knee and wasn’t going to see much time if he made the team.
  • WAS Power Forward
Wizards forward Mike Hall suffered a setback late in the fourth quarter on Saturday when he twisted his right knee while playing defense.
Hall, an undrafted free agent from George Washington, needed to be helped off the court, but says he’ll be fine. Jordan said Hall, who averaged 3.8 points and 3.4 rebounds in five games, has been one of the surprises of camp. “He’s got a good chance of making our team,” Jordan said. That doesn’t translate into fantasy value, but it’s a nice story.
  • WAS Power Forward
The Wizards signed forward Mike Hall to a non-guaranteed contract on Wednesday.
He probably won’t make the final roster, so he won’t be a fantasy factor this season.
  • WAS Power Forward
The Wizards signed forward Mike Hall to a 10-day contract Wednesday and released center James Lang.
Hall, who played at George Washington, signed as an undrafted free agent with the Wizards last summer but was let go prior to the start of the season. Not to raise fear in the hearts of the owners of Caron Butler, but the timing of this move is curious given the fact that Butler has missed his last two games with an undefined back injury. Butler’s status for Wednesday’s game is also in doubt, so watch for more news on Butler’s injury in the near future.

Jarvis Hayes scored 21 points and added nine rebounds, two threes and two steals in Tuesday’s loss to the Nets.
Caron Butler’s back injury is becoming a concern, as he could miss Wednesday’s game against the Heat. If Butler is shut down for an extended time period, Hayes could instantly have value. Given the fact the Wizards signed forward Mike Hall to a 10-day contract on Wednesday, it’s quite possible that the Wizards are fearing the worst with Butler’s back. This is purely speculation on our part, but owners of Butler should take a hard look at Hayes as an insurance policy.
  • WAS Power Forward
The Wizards have signed forward Mike Hall to a second 10-day contract.
This may be the result of Caron Butler’s persistent knee stiffness. Washington will have to either sign Hall for the remainder of the season or cut him upon the completion of this deal.
  • WAS Power Forward
Forward Mike Hall signed with the Washington Wizards for the rest of the season Wednesday, following two 10-day contracts.
    He has no fantasy value.
