Knicks president Phil Jackson openly worried Kristaps Porzingis would become the next Shawn Bradley.
The New York rookie doesn’t seem fazed by that assessment.
Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News:
Kristaps Porzingis on Shawn Bradley comment: "That's what Phil does to get guys to work hard. That fired me up. I'm not Shawn Bradley."

This is a pretty mature response from the 20-year-old Porzingis.
He was booed when the Knicks drafted him No. 4 overall, and his new boss questioned him publicly before he played a game. That’s a lot to handle.
But these motivational tricks are a Jackson signature. They often work.
It appears Porzingis is motivated to become the next success story.
The key will be adding weight and strength and avoiding becoming the next Shawn Bradley.
