Timberwolves GM David Kahn is currently scouting Paul Davis in Spain.
Davis, who played his college ball at Michigan State, hasn’t been in the NBA since the Wizards released him in November of 2009. Now 27 years old, Davis faces an uphill climb to return to the league.

The Clippers confirmed that F/C Paul Davis is out for the remainder of the season after tearing his MCL and ACL on Friday night.
An MRI exam in Los Angeles on Saturday performed by team physician Dr. Tony Daly revealed the extent of the injury. His surgery will probably take place within 10 days, once the swelling in his leg subsides. Rehab typically takes six months for a torn ACL so he could be ready next season.

Paul Davis had 10 points on 5-for-6 shooting in Sunday’s loss to Miami.
The 10 points today outscored his production over his previous 10 contests. He’s not worth a roster spot in even very deep leagues.

An MRI on Paul Davis confirmed he has a torn ACL and torn MCL in his right knee.
He will be examined by team physician Dr. Tony Daly on Monday morning. He’ll join Elton Brand and Shaun Livingston on the sidelines. Davis finished with averages of 2.5 PPG and 2.1 RPG - he’s being called ‘out indefinitely’, but has likely played his final game this season.

Paul Davis left Friday’s game against Dallas with 8:53 left in the second quarter, after he bumped knees with Erick Dampier, sustaining a right knee injury. X-rays were negative and he is scheduled to return to Los Angeles for an MRI on Saturday.
“I definitely never felt anything like that before,” said Davis, who left the arena on crutches. “Nothing is final until they get the MRI, so I’m just going to hope for the best.” The Clippers have been hit hard by the injury bug this season, but even if Davis misses extended time this shouldn’t open up any fantasy opportunities for others.

Clippers forward Paul Davis had season-ending surgery to repair the torn anterior cruciate ligament and torn lateral meniscus in his right knee, the team said Friday.
The timetable for Davis’ return is expected to be six to eight months.
  • GSW Point Guard #34
Point guard Shaun Livingston and forward Paul Davis have not been extended by the Clippers, making them unrestricted free agents.
Still recovering from a devastating knee injury suffered in 2007, Livingston and Davis became unrestricted free agents Monday when the Clippers declined to extend them qualifying offers. The Clips are hoping to re-sign Livingston for less money than they could have renewed him for, but the chances of him starting in the NBA again appear to be slim.

The Clippers re-signed big man Paul Davis to an undisclosed contract on Monday.
Davis, the Clippers second-round draft pick in 2006, played in 22 games last season before suffering a torn ACL and torn lateral meniscus in his right knee. He won’t be much help in fantasy leagues, but gives the Clippers some options if one of their bigs gets injured.

The Wizards have released F/C Paul Davis.
Davis’ departure makes room for the addition of Earl Boykins. The 25-year-old could catch on with another team, but won’t see enough minutes to accumulate any fantasy value.
  • GSW Point Guard #34
Shaun Livingston hopes to start playing basketball again in June, his first action after missing the last 16 months with torn ligaments in his knee. The Clippers need to offer him a one-year contract by July 1st, or else he becomes an unrestricted free agent.
Livingston’s fragile frame has cost him the majority of his young career, but the Clippers don’t have many alternatives at point guard. In other Clippers news, Elton Brand described his Achilles heel as being 100% healthy and said that his wife is pregnant with their first child -- she is due prior to the start of next season. Paul Davis is also on schedule to resume playing this summer, after tearing his ACL last December.
