Bobcats assigned rookie G Sherron Collins to the NBADL.
Collins went undrafted due to his lack of size. It’s something he’s going to have a hard time overcoming unless he gets significantly quicker. Collins appeared in 12 games for the Bobcats, averaging two minutes per appearance.

Garrett Temple has officially signed a 10-day contract with the Charlotte Bobcats.
Apparently the offer was originally going to go to Sherron Collins but he missed two flights and the team got impatient. Don’t expect Temple to get much of a shot even with the Bobcats ailing with injuries.

Bobcats recalled G Sherron Collins from the NBADL.
Collins was in the minors for 12 days. He averaged just 12.0 points and 3.2 assists, highlighting his lack of NBA upside.
  • GSW Point Guard #34
Shaun Livingston got some run at the expense of D.J. Augustin on Tuesday, playing 18 minutes on his way to six points, no rebounds, no assists, and a block.
It’s not the stats that should concern folks, it’s the fact that Larry Brown benched D.J. Augustin for the first half after he got into early foul trouble. Livingston did not step up, nor did Sherron Collins, who played 14 minutes with five points, two steals, and a three in garbage time. Just know that Brown is tinkering.
  • Point Guard #14
D.J. Augustin got slapped with his second foul mid-way through the first quarter and was benched for the rest of the half, and finished with eight points on 3-of-8 shooting (including two threes) with one rebound, one assist, and no turnovers in 19 minutes.
He was benched for a combination of Shaun Livingston and Sherron Collins, and while neither of them were spectacular Larry Brown did say after the game that they would get more time, in what seemed like a fairly open ended statement. We don’t believe that Augustin is headed for a time-share, but with Charlotte reeling anything is possible.

The Bobcats signed undrafted rookie point guard Sherron Collins to a two-year, non-guaranteed deal on Friday.
Collins starred at Kansas and played well for the Bobcats’ summer-league team recently. And given the fact that Shaun Livingston and D.J. Augustin are the only two point guards on the roster, Collins should not only make the team, but could actually get some serious run if one of them goes down.
