The Kings will waive Hamady N’diaye, Willie Reed and Tony Mitchell.
None of these players had much of a chance to produce with the Kings and are unlikely to catch on with another team. The Sacramento roster is now down to 14.
  • Small Forward #94
North Texas F Tony Mitchell regrets his mediocre sophomore season, which dropped him from a potential lottery pick to an uncertain commodity.
“I wish I could’ve changed it,” he said this weekend, after interviewing with the Pistons. “I would’ve changed my effort, how I competed every game.” Mitchell averaged 13.0 points and 8.5 rebounds last year, both down from his rookie season, and his lack of intensity and focus has made NBA teams very wary. Rotoworld’s latest mock draft has Mitchell going to the Jazz (via Golden State) at No. 21 overall.
  • Small Forward #94
North Texas F Tony Mitchell has worked out for the Knicks, Blazers, Bulls, Nuggets and Jazz.
Mitchell admits that his effort was sporadic during his sophomore season, which caused his draft stock to slump, but he’s on the rise after a strong pre-draft camp in Chicago -- most scouts feel he’s the most athletic player in the draft. The Knicks worked him out on Friday may very well take him if he’s available at No. 24.
  • Small Forward #94
According to ESPN, the Knicks are “especially high” on North Texas F Tony Mitchell.
The Knicks view Mitchell as a power forward option at 6'9/236. He drew some comparisons to Kenneth Faried after averaging 14.7 points and 10.3 rebounds on 56.7 percent shooting as a freshman, but those numbers sunk to 13.0, 8.5 and 44.0 as a sophomore. At No. 24 overall, Mitchell is certainly worth a flier.
  • Small Forward #94
Pistons sign rookie forward Tony Mitchell.
Mitchell was the 37th overall pick in June’s draft. He’s more of defensive player at this point but could prove to be a bit of a steal for the Pistons in the coming years.
  • Small Forward #94
The Pistons sent Tony Mitchell to the D-League on Thursday.
Mitchell has appeared in just 10 games and almost all of his minutes have come in garbage time this season.
  • Small Forward #94
The Heat have signed F Tony Mitchell.
Mitchell might take the court in Miami’s preseason finale on Friday, but he’ll be making his way to the G-League once the regular season is underway.
  • Small Forward #94
    Heat waive F Tony Mitchell.
Mitchell has a chance to suit up for Miami’s G-League affiliate, but even if he’s called up he won’t be a fantasy factor.
  • Small Forward #94
Tony Mitchell has signed a deal with the Warriors, sources told Yahoo! Sports.
His agent has confirmed the deal. Mitchell, the 37th overall pick in 2013, is almost assuredly getting a training camp invite with an eye toward the D-League.
  • Small Forward #94
    Warriors waive F Tony Mitchell.
He wasn’t in the league last year and only played 79 minutes with the Pistons in 2013-14. Mitchell could be headed to the D-League or overseas.
