ESPN’s Shams Charania reports the Bulls signed Trentyn Flowers to a two-way contract.
Initially on a two-way deal with the Clippers, Flowers was waived on October 14. He has since cleared waivers and will reportedly join the Bulls on a two-way contract. Given Chicago’s depth on the wings, Flowers is unlikely to be in a position where he can impact fantasy basketball this season. There’s no need to select him in drafts.
  • Bogdan Bogdanović (back) will not return to Thursday’s exhibition against Guangzhou.
Unfortunately, Bogi only played two minutes in Thursday’s exhibition opener before exiting with a lower back injury. While the veteran wing said he was fine while walking back to the locker room, there’s no need to risk anything in a preseason game. Bogdanović’s early departure frees up additional minutes for Jordan Miller and Trentyn Flowers, who are both on two-way deals.
  • LAC Small Forward #2
Kawhi Leonard (knee), Mo Bamba, (knee) and Trentyn Flowers (wrist) were held out of 5-on-5 practice on Tuesday.
The rest of the team was available to practice, but these three were held out. This early into training camp, it is likely precautionary, though Leonard is worth keeping a close eye on as draft season approaches. He underwent a knee procedure during the offseason, and while they are insistent that he will be available for opening night, that could change.
  • LAC Small Forward
Trentyn Flowers (wrist surgery) will not participate in the Clippers’ upcoming training camp.
Not selected in this summer’s draft, Flowers agreed to a two-way contract with the Clippers on July 24. The rookie’s lack of availability due to wrist surgery will not impact fantasy basketball, as Flowers is expected to spend most of his time in the G League.
