The Giants are taking a look at bringing in a veteran defensive lineman.
Via Mike Garafolo of NFL Media, Shelby Harris is taking a visit with New York on Tuesday.
Harris, 34, spent the last three seasons with the Browns. In 2025, he appeared in all 17 games with five starts, playing 48 percent of the club’s defensive snaps and 19 percent of special teams snaps. He registered 32 total tackles with seven tackles for loss, five quarterback hits, one sack, and four passes defensed.
A seventh-round pick in the 2014 draft, Harris has appeared in 146 career games for the Raiders, Broncos, Seahawks, and Browns. He’s tallied 28.5 sacks, 58 tackles for loss, and 65 QB hits.
One of the top receivers in this year’s draft has been a busy pre-draft schedule, including meeting with an NFC South team in the top 10.
Via Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, former USC receiver Makai Lemon is working out for the Saints on Tuesday.
New Orleans has the No. 8 overall pick this year.
Additionally, Lemon has worked out for the Commanders, who select at No. 7 overall. He visited with the Browns (No. 6) last week and will visit with the Titans (No. 4) this week.
Lemon became one of the top prospects for this year’s draft by catching 79 passes for 1,156 yards with 11 touchdowns as a junior in 2025. He caught 52 passes for 764 yards with three TDs in 2024.
Matt Leinart recently stirred up a debate about jersey numbers when he said he refused to let USC give his retired No. 11 to recruits who wanted it. At Oregon recently, a similar question came up with the opposite conclusion.
Dylan Raiola, who previously started at Nebraska and transferred this year to Oregon, will wear No. 8 for the Ducks. Oregon doesn’t officially retire numbers, but the No. 8 jersey has been considered special at Oregon since Marcus Mariota won the Heisman Trophy wearing it, and when Dillon Gabriel wore No. 8 in 2024, it was with Mariota’s blessing. Raiola didn’t take the No. 8 jersey until both Mariota and Gabriel said it was OK.
“The last two people, if you look at it, who wore it were Dillon Gabriel and Marcus Mariota,” Raiola said in a video published by Oregon. “So before I even thought about wearing it, I called Dillon and I asked him, and then I actually asked him if I could have Marcus’s number and I called Marcus and I was blessed with the opportunity to wear it.”
Raiola, Gabriel and Mariota are all from Hawaii and have formed a connection over that, as well as their status as Oregon quarterbacks wearing No. 8. Raiola previously wore No. 15 at Nebraska as part of his effort to emulate Patrick Mahomes, but now it’s a couple of his Oregon predecessors he seeks to emulate in the No. 8.
Blake Whiteheart will be back in the Browns’ tight end room in 2026.
The Browns announced that they have re-signed Whiteheart on Monday. They did not tender Whiteheart as a restricted free agent ahead of the start of the league year and they did not disclose any terms of the deal.
Whiteheart signed to the Browns’ practice squad after being waived by the Cardinals ahead of the 2024 season. He played in 11 games that season and played in every game for the Browns during the 2025 campaign.
Whiteheart had eight catches for 55 yards and a touchdown over those appearances. He also played in two games for Arizona as a rookie.
The Titans have made another addition to Robert Saleh’s defense.
Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that they have agreed to terms with linebacker Mohamoud Diabate. Diabate spent the last three seasons with the Browns, but they did not tender him as a restricted free agent.
Diabate made the Browns as an undrafted free agent in 2023 and appeared in 46 games during his time in Cleveland. He started 18 of those games and compiled 127 tackles, a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries while with the AFC North club.
The Titans have added a number of other defensive players this month, which means Diabate will be part of a very different looking lineup than the one they fielded in Week 18 of the 2025 season.
