Packers Grey Ruegamer will take over for center Mike Flanagan, who is out for the season.
This could hamper the Packers offense slightly this weekend as he gets into the flow of things.
  • Packers center Grey Ruegamer left yesterday’s game with an injured left ankle.
Rookie Scott Wells played for him. Wells is the third center Green Bay has had to use this season.
  • Packers released center Grey Ruegamer.
He saw some time last year when Mike Flanagan went down with an injury, playing in 11 of their last 13 games, including the playoff loss to Minnesota.
  • Packers re-signed offensive lineman offensive lineman Grey Ruegamer and safety Todd Franz.
Ruegamer will be the top backup for the interior offensive line in Green Bay. He may have a chance to take one of the starting guards.

The 33-year-old versatile backup figured to be re-signed if the Giants didn’t draft any interior linemen, but they’ve already given his locker away. He’ll try to catch on as a swing guard-center elsewhere.
  • Seahawks signed C/G Grey Ruegamer.
Ruegamer, a 33-year-old versatile backup, was with the Giants last year. He’ll provide depth inside following the retirement of Mike Wahle.
  • Seahawks released G/C Grey Ruegamer.
The 33-year-old must have nothing left if he can’t play on Seattle’s line.
  • Giants signed C Grey Ruegamer, formerly of the Packers, to a one-year, $750,000 contract.
The Packers have lost their top two centers from last season. The Lions were also interested in Ruegamer, who will be a backup
