The 2014 rookie wide receiver class was one of the most impressive in memory and two members of the group played their college ball at LSU.

Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry worked under position coach Adam Henry while they were in Baton Rouge and his success with those players and others has led him to a job with the 49ers. LSU announced Sunday that Henry has accepted a job on Jim Tomsula’s staff.

The 49ers haven’t announced anything, but the expectation is that Henry will be working with Ronald Curry as a wide receivers coach in 2015. Curry has been an offensive assistant for the 49ers since 2013 and has some experience with Henry as he was playing for the Raiders in 2007 and 2008 when Henry was an offensive quality control coach in Oakland.

Henry moved to tight ends coach for the Raiders in 2009 and made his way to LSU in 2012, where his work developing future pro stars got him noticed by a 49ers team that could stand to develop some star wideouts of their own.
