Aaron Rodgers reaches a historic touchdown-interception milestone

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw three touchdown passes and no interceptions in Sunday’s win at Chicago, giving him a career total of 229 touchdowns and 57 interceptions. Anyone who follows football knows that’s phenomenal.

But it’s worth pointing out just how phenomenal that really is: Rodgers now has more than four times as many touchdowns as interceptions in his career. No other quarterback in NFL history has ever even had three times as many touchdowns as interceptions.

Rodgers’s career passing numbers are incredible. His 57 interceptions in 3,498 career pass attempts gives him an interception rate of 1.6 percent, the best of any quarterback in NFL history. And his 229 touchdowns give him a touchdown rate of 6.5 percent, the third-highest in NFL history. No one else is even in the Top 10 all-time in both touchdown percentage and interception percentage.

With a career passer rating of 106.3, Rodgers is the most efficient passer the NFL has ever seen. And he’s not done adding to his all-time great numbers.
