The Bengals’ most experienced offensive starter appears ready to return to action on Monday night.

Left tackle Andrew Whitworth is active for tonight’s game against Pittsburgh. Whitworth, who was questionable with a knee injury, was not listed among the team’s eight inactives.

According to the club’s official Twitter feed, it’s anticipated Whitworth will get the start at left tackle against Pittsburgh. Anthony Collins started in place of the injured Whitworth in Week One at Chicago.

The eight Bengals players sitting out Monday’s game are running back Rex Burkhead, H-back Orson Charles, cornerback Brandon Ghee, offensive tackle Tanner Hawkinson, defensive end Margus Hunt, offensive guard Mike Pollak and wide receiver Dane Sanzenbacher.

The club’s Twitter feed also disclosed that rookie Tyler Eifert will be the second tight end on Monday night. Eifert was the club’s first-round pick in April.
