The last we heard from Antwaan Randle El, his brother was telling us he was going to retire.

Well, he’s said it himself now, telling the crowd at his football camp in Indiana: “It’s official. I’m hanging ‘em up.”

Randle El told the Times of Northwest Indiana he had offers, but “made his mind up about six weeks ago that he wanted to move on to other opportunities.”

Those are apparently in broadcasting, as he’s going to work for the Big Ten Network, in addition to some preseason work with the Redskins.

Randle El spent nine years with the Steelers and Redskins, winning a Super Bowl ring and throwing a touchdown pass in Pittsburgh’s Super Bowl XL win over the Seahawks.
