The Texans may have lost a star player in garbage time.
Down 44-20 late in the fourth quarter against the Dolphins, running back Arian Foster went down with a non-contact injury to his lower leg. He was carted off.
Per a team source, it’s an Achilles tendon injury. If it’s torn, his season will be over.
Foster had 18 carries for 59 yards on Sunday, along with 66 yards on five catches. Foster scored two touchdowns.
It’s a potentially devastating loss for a guy who had missed plenty of time earlier this year with a groin injury.
