With the Bengals and Steelers facing off for the first time this season, the Bengals have added a guy who may be able to help them prepare to face their Ohio River rivals.
The Bengals have announced that linebacker Chris Carter has signed a one-year deal with the team. Carter, a fifth-round pick of the Steelers in 2011, spent three years in Pittsburgh.
Waived by the Steelers after the preseason, he spent a month with the Colts before being released. Carter appeared in 29 games for Pittsburgh, with six starts.
The 8-3-1 Bengals play the 7-5 Steelers twice over the final four weeks of the regular season.
