Back in late December, the Steelers waived wide receiver Justin Brown in order to make room for running back Ben Tate because Le’Veon Bell’s knee injury created a need for more backfield depth.
With the regular season over, waivers was put on hold until after the Super Bowl so Brown’s fate wasn’t known until Tuesday. The Bills announced that their waiver claim of Brown was successful and added him to their roster.
Brown was a sixth-round pick for the Steelers in 2013 and played in the first six games of the season before being inactive for eight of the final 10 games of the season. Brown caught 12 passes for 94 yards and lost one fumble during his time with the Steelers.
At 6-foot-3, Brown’s the tallest receiver currently on Buffalo’s roster.
