The Giants released their injury report for this Sunday’s game against the Eagles and confirmed the bleak report for one of their injured players.
Running back Ahmad Bradshaw has been ruled out for the third straight game with a stress fracture in his foot. Bradshaw has set Week 12’s visit to New Orleans as his expected return date, but the situation still bears some watching. Bradshaw’s injury has been downplayed ever since it became public, but he hasn’t been able to do anything since it came to light which makes him anything but a sure thing a week from now.
There have also been plenty of reports that linebacker Michael Boley will miss the game with a hamstring injury, but the Giants listed him as doubtful on Friday. The expectation remains that he won’t be able to play, which means the Giants will have to rely on four young players to help contain LeSean McCoy and the rest of the Eagles offense. Greg Jones, Jacquian Williams, Spencer Paysinger and Mark Herzlich are all expected to see time for the Giants this weekend.
Both injuries should have an impact on the Giants. Bradshaw’s work on screen passes helped the Giants a great deal in their Week Three win over the Eagles and Boley has been the best Giants linebacker all season.
Justin Tuck skipped practice Friday with an ankle injury. He’s listed as questionable, but all signs are that he will be on the field as part of his effort to turn around a disappointing season.
