Panthers quarterback Cam Newton said this offseason he was retiring the dab, his signature dance from last year.

Then again, there wasn’t all that much to dab about as they limped to a 1-5 start, so it was kind of hard to tell.

But Newton just brought back his dance after an impressive touchdown run, giving the Panthers a 10-0 lead over the Chiefs.

Newton pushed through the heart of the Chiefs defense for the score, a strong run for a team that has always been better when he’s a component of the run game.

That’s been the difference so far, as the Panthers have controlled the clock and field position, with Newton and Jonathan Stewart combining for 11 carries for 66 yards so far.
