The Colts have added a playmaker to their offense and special teams.
Josh Cribbs, the three-time Pro Bowl return man, has signed with the Colts today, a league source confirmed to PFT. Cribbs tried out for the Colts last week.
The 31-year-old Cribbs played for the Jets last season after previously playing eight years for the Browns. He’s the NFL’s all-time record holder for kickoff return touchdowns, with eight in his career.
Cribbs should bolster a Colts return game that hasn’t been particularly effective this season. The Colts’ primary return man, Griff Whalen, has averaged 7.2 yards on punt returns and 25.3 yards on kickoff returns and has fumbled twice.
