COLTS-TITANS ONE-LINERS

Titans QB Kerry Collins said of beating the Colts, “It was a big step for us tonight I think. We obviously got off to a good start, and to get one more against a division opponent is again real big at this time of year.” The Colts gave the Titans four first downs on penalties. “The world saw a good football team,’' Titans S Chris Hope said. “We’ve played good football all year. It’s not a fluke we’re undefeated. We still have a lot of improvements to make as a team, but I believe we are one of the best teams in the league.’' Former Titans RB Eddie George thinks there’s something special about this year’s team. Said Titans coach Jeff Fisher, “The defense did a great job. They knew they had to be patient. We got some key stops, some key third-down stops. And of course, the fourth-down stops were huge momentum swings for us.” The Colts had their fourth different offensive line combination of the season. Said Titans FB Ahmard Hall, “They weren’t giving us any credit, so I mean if you do that and you beat the Colts decisively on a national stage, then you’ve proven it there.” The Colts tried a new defensive alignment with four defensive linemen, four linebackers and three defensive backs. Colts coach Tony Dungy said, “We played high-energy but not well enough to win.” The Colts may have passed the torch to the Titans last night.
