The Rams fell behind the Jets after a Sam Bradford fumble and they lost wide receiver Danny Amendola on the next drive.
Amendola immediately grabbed the back of his right foot after a Bradford pass sailed incomplete on third down. He hopped right to his feet, but couldn’t put much weight on that side as he limped off the field. He was sitting on a table being looked at by Rams medical personnel before heading back to the locker room.
Amendola has four catches for 16 yards in this week’s game and caught 11 in last week’s tie against the 49ers. That was his first game back after three weeks on the sideline as a result of a collarbone injury he suffered in early October. Amendola still leads the Rams in receptions and receiving yards on the season.
The Rams offense looked great on an 86-yard opening touchdown drive, but two turnovers and just 48 more yards have followed in what’s been an underwhelming day of offensive football in St. Louis.
