More than 30 hours after Karlos Dansby landed in Miami, a contract for the linebacker has been finalized with the Dolphins.
The parameters were agreed to Friday night, but the deal was complex enough to take until Saturday afternoon to finish. Dansby is on the way to the Dolphins facility as we type, according to Jeff Darlington of theMiami Herald.
Dansby spoke Saturday about his excitement to join the Dolphins, especially because 40 Dolphins were working out when he arrived Friday. He also confirmed he would play inside linebacker. He’s versatile and there was some thought he could play outside, but Dansby expects to team with Channing Crowder inside in Miami’s 3-4 defense.
