Darius Slayton active for Giants despite being listed as doubtful Friday

A report on Sunday morning indicated that Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby is trying to play despite being listed as doubtful on the team’s final injury report and it noted that Crosby would be the first player to play in a game this season after receiving such a designation.

Crosby may play against the Chiefs, but he’ll have to settle for being the second player in that category to do so. The Giants play at 1 p.m. ET and that means wide receiver Darius Slayton beat him to the punch.

Slayton was expected to miss the game after drawing a doubtful tag due to a neck injury, but he avoided the inactive list on Sunday morning.

Defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence joined Slayton in the doubtful group and he is out for the Giants. Lawrence has a hamstring injury.
