Washington safety Deshazor Everett is short $48,000 this week, and the Eagles are short a punt returner.

Eagles coach Doug Pederson told reporters that running back Darren Sproles was out for Sunday’s game against the Ravens.

Sproles suffered a concussion when he was nailed by Everett last week. Sproles hadn’t called for a fair catch, and Everett hit him before the ball arrived, triggering one of his two fines.

Without Sproles for the week and with Wendell Smallwood on injured reserve, the Eagles will use Kenjon Barner to return punts and rely on Ryan Mathews to carry the load on offense.
