The Cowboys’ young receivers could get even more chances to develop on Monday night, when the team’s preseason opens against the Raiders.

Starter Dez Bryant exited practice on Saturday with a hamstring strain, according to Todd Archer and Calvin Watkins of ESPNDallas.com.

I’m fine,” Bryant said after practice.

Still, the fact that Bryant’s hamstring tightened during practice could keep him out of action on Monday. Owner Jerry Jones said he’s not concerned about the injury, but that if there’s any “sensitivity” to aggravation then Bryant wouldn’t play on Monday.

Receiver Miles Austin also has a hamstring injury, which means that Kevin Ogletree and Dwayne Harris ran with the first-team after Bryant’s exit on Saturday.

Jones consistently has said that the team wants one of its young receivers to step up and fill the void created at No. 3 by the departure in free agency of Laurent Robinson. The reality is that one of the young receivers eventually could have to fill a void at No. 1 or No. 2, too.
