Wide receiver Dez Bryant participated in practice for the Cowboys this week after missing all the sessions in the previous two weeks, but that might not be enough to get him on the field against the Packers.
Bryant has been listed as questionable to play in Sunday’s game despite signs from the team that he’ll miss a third straight game with a hairline fracture in his knee. Owner Jerry Jones said Friday on 105.3 The Fan, via the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, that he is “less than optimistic” about Bryant’s chances of playing.
The Cowboys have a bye in Week Seven, which would offer Bryant extended time to continue recovering before the team hosts the Eagles on October 30.
Left tackle Tyron Smith is questionable with the back problem that caused him to miss two games before returning last Sunday. Smith said that he expects to play this weekend, which would keep the Cowboys from shuffling their line because backup Chaz Green remains out with a foot injury.
