Domonique Foxworth feels he’s letting the Ravens down

Ravens cornerback Domonique Foxworth says that when he first learned he’d miss all of 2010 with a torn ACL, he felt sorrier for the rest of the organization than he did for himself.

“I feel a ton of emotions, but the biggest one I’m feeling is I’m letting people down,” Foxworth told Jamison Hensley of the Baltimore Sun. “I know everyone is excited about this team and excited about this season ... from the fans and the entire organization from [owner Steve Bisciotti] on down to the people who clean up. I feel like I let a bunch of people down.”

Foxworth said he blew out his knee in a drill that he described as “something I’ve done a million times in my career.”

The injury to Foxworth is a huge blow to the Ravens, who were already thin in the secondary because of injuries. But Foxworth insists that there’s a good group of defensive backs on the team who will come together and make it work.

“They’ll be fine without me,” Foxworth said. “I promise you, if there are going to be shortcomings on this team, it won’t be in the secondary.”
