When discussing the downfall of the 2014 Saints, it’s easy to point to the defense.
Primarily, because it’s been really bad.
But quarterback Drew Brees isn’t doing them any favors today, saving one of his worst performances of the year for last.
Brees has been picked off three times, and the Saints trail the Buccaneers 20-7 in the third quarter.
Six of his 17 picks this year are against the Bucs.
He’s 17-of-28 passing for 188 yards, for a clean 41.1 passer rating, and this is not exactly a vintage Bucs defense.
The Saints look like they’re ready for this one to be over, but they need to spend some time looking at their offensive issues this offseason as well.
