The Falcons had a roster spot after putting tight end Jacob Tamme on injured reserve, and they apparently have some concern over the health of their punter.

The team announced the addition of punter Matt Wile to the 53-man roster. Wile has done turns in camps with the Panthers and Cowboys, but hasn’t punted in a regular season game. He was a kicker at Michigan as well.

Falcons punter Matt Bosher is dealing with a hamstring strain, which required kicker Matt Bryant to punt against the Eagles before their bye week.

It’s unclear how serious Bosher’s injury is, but they obviously needed an insurance policy for the week.
