The Falcons avoided a holdout, and wrapped up their draft class in time to report to camp.

According to Pat Yasinskas of ESPN.com, the Falcons reached an agreement with first-rounder Desmond Trufant Wednesday, after signing seventh-round quarterback Sean Renfree earlier in the day.

The Falcons double-dipped on cornerbacks in the draft, using their first two picks on Trufant and Robert Alford, hoping to shore up a leaky defense from back to front. They’ll need both to play, and play well, from day one.
