Former Dolphins cornerback Will Allen faces decades in prison on 23 federal felonies, according to an indictment issued last week.

Allen was charged in April for his part in a Ponzi scheme, bilking investors out of millions of dollars.

Via the Palm Beach Post, the indictment lists 12 counts of wire fraud, six counts of aggravated identity theft, one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and four counts of illegal monetary transactions.

Allen, who also played for the Giants, gave high-interest, short-term loans to professional athletes. Those loans were funded by investors, but Allen ended up with most of the proceeds.
