The Jets spent the weekend interviewing candidates for their openings at coach and general manager and the process will continue this week with at least one candidate whose team’s season came to an end on Saturday.

Cardinals defensive coordinator Todd Bowles has accepted the team’s invitation to interview for the head coaching position. Bowles wasn’t eligible to speak to teams last week, but Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports that the Jets are one of the teams that will talk to him this week. Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said the Bears and Falcons had also formally asked to speak with Bowles at this point in the process.

Chargers offensive coordinator Frank Reich is also slated for a chat this week. Reich met with the Bills on Sunday and he’s expected to interview with the Jets on Wednesday. They are also interested in speaking to Ravens offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak, but Kubiak said he won’t interview for any jobs as long as the Ravens are still in the playoffs.

Former Bills coach Doug Marrone, Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, Seahawks offensive line coach Tom Cable and Jets running backs coach Anthony Lynn have all interviewed for the chance to follow Rex Ryan as head coach for the Jets.
