The Giants have spent much of the offseason rebuilding their offense after the dismal results of the 2013 season and they added another player to that effort on Wednesday.
They’ve claimed tackle Jamaal Johnson-Webb off of waivers from the Bills, who cut him on Tuesday. Johnson-Webb joins Geoff Schwartz, John Jerry, J.D. Walton, Charles Brown and Weston Richburg as new additions on the offensive line this offseason.
Johnson-Webb entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Cardinals last year, but didn’t make it out of camp with the team. He then spent time on practice squads in Chicago, Minnesota and Buffalo without ever playing in a regular season game.
Given the depth the Giants have tried to create with their moves in free agency and the draft, Johnson-Webb may have a hard time getting into a game this season too but that will sort itself out between now and September.
