If Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston was looking a little doughy early in his training, he’s apparently tightened things up.

When Winston was measured at the NFL Scouting Combine, he came in at 6-foot-33/4 and 231 pounds.

He was reportedly around 248 when he began his offseason training in California, which might explain the paunch as much as the elastic tether around his waist.

Jokes aside, if Winston’s handling his conditioning seriously at the time of his biggest job interview, it at least shows he’s taking the process seriously.

By comparison, Marcus Mariota measured in at the same height as Winston, and 222 pounds. While Winston just seems bigger, their numbers indicate that’s not really the case.
