One of the Raiders’ biggest offseason acquisitions, cornerback DeAngelo Hall, was abruptly cut last week. Another big-name offseason arrival, receiver Javon Walker, is done, too. But instead of being cut, Walker is out for the year due to an ankle injury, which will require surgery. Unlike Hall, who was paid $8 million for eight games, Walker has reeled in $13 million for eight games. Like Hall, it’s highly unlikely that Walker will be back next year. UPDATE: Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that surgery will be performed on Friday morning, and that the bone is separated at the ankle.
