Browns quarterback Josh McCown threw two touchdown passes in the first 10 minutes Sunday, but then was briefly taken to the locker room with what appeared to be an injury to his left (non-throwing) arm or shoulder.

Rookie Cody Kessler was warming up and would replace McCown if he can’t return. McCown returned to the sideline during the Ravens’ next possession, then returned to the game after the Ravens turned the ball over on downs.

Both of McCown’s touchdown passes went to rookie wide receiver Corey Coleman. McCown was taken to the locker room shortly after his second.

The Browns lead the Ravens, 20-2. They’ve scored three touchdowns but had the PAT blocked and returned for two points on the third.

McCown started today because Robert Griffin III is on injured reserve after suffering a shoulder injury last week.

The Browns only have two quarterbacks on the active roster. Wide receiver Terrelle Pryor, a former quarterback, is presumably the team’s emergency quarterback.
